Complete a DISC assessment. Attend two Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Meetings. Participate in one UB or UB athletics traditional event. Assigned Leadership readings Complete Reflection Paper on Year One experience. |
The Leadership Foundation badge will introduce student-athletes to the foundations of leadership and share various leadership styles. Student-athletes will assess their own leadership qualities and styles through assessments, readings, and activities.
Each Leadership badge is a part of the 3-badge More Than an Athlete Leadership micro-credential. Completion of all 3 in the series allows a student-athlete to obtain the “Leadership Achievement” Badge.
Eligible Participants
The Leadership Foundation badge is available to ALL UB student-athletes.
Leadership Development Badge Process
Follow the steps below to sign up and complete the Leadership Development badge:
- Provide your information on the following form: ENROLL HERE
- Set up a meeting with the Micro-Credential Coordinator: Diamond King-Williams (djw35@buffalo.edu)
- Complete the required criteria listed above. This will be provided in more detail by the Micro-Credential Coordinator during your initial meeting.
- Submit the required evidence for each criteria listed to the Micro-Credential Coordinator .
- Complete a final reflection meeting with Micro-Credential Coordinator
- Accept your Leadership Foundation Badge through Credly
- Show off your Leadership Foundation Badge!
