
Amos Joins All-Time Outdoor Ranks at Texas Relays on Friday

AUSTIN, Texas – Members of the University at Buffalo Track & Field team competed in the University of Texas Relays on Friday.
Women's High Jump Indoor MAC Champion Zahra Amos highlighted the day for the Bulls, joining the all-time outdoor ranks with a 1.75 meter mark. Amos' new personal best outdoor jump is tied for fourth in UB history. The junior finished first in the women's B-group high jump.
The Buffalo men finished 15th in the 4x100 meter event. The team of Neil Stoudemire, Tal Hamel, Jean Desir and Jermaine Ewers had a time of 42.66. The Bulls' time was less than three seconds shy of the outdoor school record.
Angela Forster placed 28th of 75 athletes in the women's 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.27. Forster's time falls just outside of the Buffalo outdoor top times by a tenth of a second. Scilla Benussi finished 47th (14.68).
Michael Parks placed 23rd in a field of 48 runners for the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.59. Parks' time falls just outside of the Buffalo outdoor top times by a tenth of a second.
Ewers placed 66th in a field of 109 competitors in the men's 100 meter with a time of 10.61. Desir placed 103rd (10.99).

The Bulls' Texas travel group will head back to San Marcos to compete Saturday in the Texas State Bobcat Invite.
