Bulls Defeat Bowling Green 4-3 to Open MAC Play

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team battled to a 4-3 road win at Bowling Green to open Mid-American Conference play on Friday afternoon.
The Bulls got off to a strong start, taking the doubles point as Azra Deniz Comlek and Laura Koralnik cruised to a 6-2 win at second doubles and Jagmeet Kaur and Deanne Choo picked up a 6-3 victory at the third position to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
Comlek continued her momentum in singles action as she cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 at second singles and Esmee Andresen followed with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the firth position to put UB up 3-1.
After the Falcons tied the match at three it came down to first singles where Kaur battled back from a dropped first set to win 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 and clinch the match for the Bulls.
Next up, Buffalo returns home for a pair of matches beginning on Friday, March 22 against Toledo. First serve from Miller Tennis Center is set for 12:30pm.
