Bulls Host Lone December Game on Tuesday Evening

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team (4-4, 0-0 MAC) will host the Pitt-Bradford Panthers (5-0, 0-0 AMCC) for their only home December game on Tuesday evening. The action can be seen on ESPN+ with Paul Peck and UB Wall of Famer Turner Battle on the call. Josh Whetzel and Bob Gaughan can be heard on the Varsity Network or on the radio on Buffalo 1520/Rochester 1280.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bulls are coming off a loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions on Sunday afternoon. Ryan Sabol led the team with 19 points as he knocked down 5 three-pointers on the day. He has now made a three in 14 consecutive games and has made at least 3 three-pointers in seven straight games. Sabol added 3 assists, 3 rebounds and a steal for the Bulls. Brayden Jackson scored 11 points off the bench as he was 5-for-7 from the floor. Frederiks Meinarts led the Bulls with 4 rebounds and 2 blocks, both career high marks.

Dunn's 51 total assists is 11th in the country and first in the MAC. His 6.4 assists per game is 13th in all of college basketball.

Aaron Stang, University at Buffalo's Senior Associate Athletic Director for Championship Resources, graduated from Pitt-Bradford in 2010. He was a four-year starter for the Panthers and was teammates with current Pitt-Bradford Head Coach, Jesse DeLoof. In his junior season, Stang was fourth in the conference in shooting percentage and fifth in blocks.
The Bulls will play three of their five games in December in the first week of the month. They opened the month at Penn State, will host Pitt-Bradford on the 3rd and will play at St. Bonaventure on the 7th.
Sabol has scored a team-high 149 points on the year. In his collegiate career, he is up to 400 career points after a 19-point performance at Penn State. He's currently 127th in points scored in program history. Sabol needs 3 points to pass UB great Wes Clark's 402 points he recorded in Buffalo's NCAA run in 2017-18.
Sabol has gone 29-for-31 from the free throw line, good for 93.5%. His free throw percentage is 28th in the country and third in the MAC.
Buffalo will be away from Alumni Arena for five of their next six games. Following Sunday's game at Penn State, they'll host Pitt-Bradford on Dec. 3 and will then face St. Bonaventure (Dec. 12), Georgia (Dec. 19), Temple (Dec. 29) and Miami (OH) (Jan. 4) on the road before coming back home on Jan. 7 when they host Ohio.
