2024-25: The Latvian native appeared in 24 games as a freshman...Averaging 9.4 mpg, he scored 2.5 ppg to go with his 1.7 rpg...Meinarts scored a career-high 10 points at Notre Dame (11/11) and at Western Michigan (1/18), in both games he made a career-high 2 three-pointers...In the season finale at Akron (3/7), he secured a career-high 5 rebounds...At Penn State (12/1) and against Akron (1/21), he had 2 blocks.
Prior to Buffalo: Meinarts attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., but the 7’0” forward/center is from Riga, Latvia...The Latvian native played for Rigas Zelli in the Latvian Estonian Basketball League...He also represented his home country at the 2022 U18 FIBA European Championship...During his time playing for Team Latvia, he averaged 15.4 minutes, 10.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
