2015-2016: Placed 9th in 5000m at Great Dance Classic… Finished 5000m in 17:37.96 at Penn State Invitational… Took 2nd in 10,000m at Lou Onesty Invitational with a time of 36:44.95… 1st at Wake Forest Open in 1500m with a time of 4:42.17… Placed 4th in 5000m at Jesse Owens Classic with a time of 17:41.23.
2014-15: As a freshman, Mahoney ran season-best times of 5:18.60 in the mile run, 4:59.41 in the outdoor 1,500-meter run, 10:23.49 in the indoor 3,000-meter run and 10:40.99 in the outdoor 3,000-meter run, 17:42.68 in the 5,000-meter run, and 9:59.70 in the indoor 4x800 relay.
High School: Attended Liverpool High School...two-year captain competed for coach Justin Block...set 1,600-meter school record of 5:25.09...All-CNY First-Team selection as a junior and senior...awarded scholar-athlete status all four years...named co-MVP of her cross country team and distance MVP as a junior...selected Cross Country Senior of the Year for the Warriors.
Personal: Born June 24, 1996...daughter of Kevin and Brenda...has sister, Ashley...majoring in exercise science...hopes to become a physical therapist...enjoys biking, reading and running...lists favorite kind of music as rock...is also a member of the UB cross country team.
