Bio
2024: Named to All-MAC Second Team and received Fourth-Team All-Region honors… Started all 20 games for the Bulls this season… Scored a goal in wins over Colgate (9/8) and at Northern Colorado (9/15)… Recorded an assist on the game-winning goal in a win over Northern Illinois (9/29)… Part of a standout backline that led the league and ranks in the top 20 nationally in goals against average (.70) save percentage (.848) and shutout percentage (.550)… Earned Academic All-MAC honors for the first time in her career.
2023: Started all 18 games as a sophomore… Recorded an assist on the game tying goal at Central Michigan (10/5) and took 10 shots on the year… helped lead the UB defense to eight clean sheets on the season and a 1.22 goals against average.
2022: Started 20 games as a rookie… Named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Second Team… Earned MAC Defensive Player of the Year honors… Named First Team All-MAC and to the All-Freshman Team… Second on the team and ranked in the top five in the MAC with seven total assists and 0.33 assists per game while adding two goals… Recorded a pair of assists in her first collegiate game against Binghamton (8/18)… Assisted on the go-ahead goal at nationally ranked Rutgers (8/28)… Recorded assists against Big 4 foes Niagara (8/21) and Canisius (9/1)… Assisted on the game-winning goals against Northern Illinois (10/13) and Miami (11/3).
High School: Simmons comes to Buffalo from Arlington, VA where she played for Yorktown High School and is a member of the Arlington Soccer Association. Due to her success playing for Arlington, Simmons was also selected to participate in the Advanced Development Program for the Washington Spirit of the NWSL and was invited to the GA Mid-Atlantic Talent ID. Simmons is also a member of the Yorktown varsity dive team that won the 2021 6A state championships. Off the pitch, Simmons was a member of the National Honor and Latin Honors Societies and is an AP Scholar.
