Junior (2010): Averaged 34.1 yards in his 22 total punts... showed good touch on his punts, pinning six inside the opponent’s 20-yard line while only recording two touchbacks... his longest punt of the season was for 50 yards.
Sophomore (2009): Appeared in all 12 games...had 42 punts for 1,495 yards...averaged 35.6 yards per punt...had 12 punts downed inside th 20-yard line...had two punts over 50 yards, including a season-long 52-yarder...Four of his season-high six punts were downed inside the 20-yard line against Akron (10/17)...had a season-long 52-yard punt at Miami (OH) (11/18)...Two of his four punts at Kent State (11/27) were downed inside the 20-yard line.
Freshman (2008): Started all 14 games at punter...had 65 punts on the season...averaged 39.1 yards per punt...had 23 punts downed inside the 20-yard line...13 of his punts were fair caught...had a career-long 57-yard punt against Ball State in the MAC Championship game...added a 56-yard effort against Connecticut in the International Bowl...had a season-high 10 punts (four 50+ yards) and averaged 43.5 yards against the Huskies...had three punts for 127 yards (42.3-yard average) against Miami (OH) (11/4)...also converted a fake punt in which he completed a 15-yard pass to Mike Newton - resulting in a first down against the RedHawks...named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week for efforts against Miami.
High School: Attended Brisbane Grammar School where he played Australia rules football, track and field and cricket...also played for the Western Magpies - an Australian Rules Football team that won the championship in 2005 and 2006...was a champion high jumper in high school.
