Bulls Travel to Toledo on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team (11-3-2, 7-2-1 MAC) travels to Toledo for the final road contest of the regular season on Sunday.
It is the 31st meeting between Buffalo and Toledo with the Bulls holding a 16-12-2 series advantage. The Bulls have won six of the last seven meetings with the Rockets, most recently a 2-0 win at UB Stadium last season.
The Bulls have officially clinched a spot in the 2025 Mid-American Conference Soccer Tournament, to be held Nov. 2-7 in Columbus, Ohio. UB has advanced to the MAC tournament championship game twice in the last three seasons, with one of those trips resulting in a MAC championship title in 2022. UB's first MAC championship win came in 2014, the first season under head coach Shawn Burke.
Buffalo played to a scoreless draw with Bowling Green on a cold and wet night at UB Stadium on Thursday. Bowling Green outshot the Bulls 10-7 on the night, including a 6-5 edge in shots on goal and a 5-1 advantage in corner kick opportunities. Junior Lexie Thompson made five saves on the night, while O'Malley made five stops of her own for the visitors.
The Bulls are balanced offensively, with 27 goals scored off the feet of 10 different players, led by graduate student forward Jasmine Guerber who leads the team in goals (6) and points (17) and junior midfielder Laiken Kiser who has notched five goals. Thompson leads the Bulls between the pipes, compiling an 11-3-2 overall record. She leads the MAC and ranks 15th nationally in goals against average (.57) while ranking second in the league in shutouts (8) and third in save percentage (.842) across 16 contests.
As a team, the Bulls lead the MAC and ranks 12th in the nation in goals against average (.56) while also leading the league and ranking in the top 25 nationally in shutout percentage (.563). Offensively, the Bulls lead the league in shots per game (14.1), shots on goal (7.4) per game while ranking second in the MAC in points (78), goals (27), assists (24) and scoring offense (1.69) and third in corner kicks per game (5.3).
Toledo is 4-6-6 overall and 1-5-4 in league play after falling at Kent State 1-0 on Thursday. The Rockets are led offensively by Morgan Spitler who has scored five goals. They are balanced offensively as eight other players have recorded a goal on the year. Agnus Stenlund leads Toledo between the pipes, as she owns a 1.07 goals against average and .782 save percentage with 61 saves in 16 starts this season.
