Bulls Sweep Saturday Doubleheader

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team continued the fall season on Saturday with a pair of victories, defeating Saint Francis 6-1 before sweeping Binghamton 7-0 at the Miller Tennis Center.
In the first match against Red Flash the Bulls won the doubles point as Jagmeet Kaur and Ambre Amat won 6-0 at first doubles and Lolina Schietekat Sedas and Esmee Andresen won 6-4 at third doubles.
UB carried that strong play into singles actions where they won five of six matches in straight sets. Amat won 7-5, 6-4 at second doubles and Andresen dropped just two games, winning 6-2, 6-0. Mariana Carvajal Torres cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at fourth singles while Laura Koralnik picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win at the fifth position. Sophomore Deanne Choo rounded things out with a 7-5, 6-2 victory at sixth singles.
In the evening match against the Bearcats, the Bulls won both doubles matches, as Amat and Schietekat Sedas cruised 6-0 at first singles and Carvajal Torres and Choo won 6-1 at second singles.
In singles action, Choo didn't drop a game winning 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles. Carvajal Torres won 6-0, 6-1 win at third singles and Andresen followed suit with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the second position. Koralnik won 6-2, 6-0 at fourth singles and Kaur completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-4 win at first singles.
The Bulls conclude fall action next weekend as they host the UB Invite at Miller Tennis Center.
