
Bulls Pick Up 4-3 Road Victory At Miami (OH)

OXFORD, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team scored a 4-3 road victory on Friday afternoon at Miami (OH). After falling in doubles, the Bulls picked up wins in four of the six singles matches.
The Bulls immediately tied things up at 1-1 following a Miami forfeit at sixth singles. The RedHawks then increased their lead to 3-1 following wins at first and second singles, but those would be the last wins for Miami.
Junior Hsin-Yuan Shih moved up to third singles and came away with a 6-1, 6-3 victory, while sophomore Ambre Amat won at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-4, tying the match up at 3-3 and making the match at fifth singles the deciding contest. Sophomore Azra Deniz Comlek won the opening set 6-4, but then Miami's Mackenzie Myers won the second, 6-2. Comlek emerged victorious though in the third set, 6-4, sending the Bulls to victory.
UB will remain on the road Sunday when it faces Western Michigan.
