11/11/2021 11:03:00 AM | Cross Country
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo cross country team will travel to Boston, Mass. for the NCAA Northeast Regionals hosted by the University of Massachusetts Lowell. The race will take place on Friday, Nov. 12 at Franklin Park. The Bulls are no stranger to the park as they raced there earlier this year for the Coast to Coast Battle at Beantown. For the regionals, the women's 6k race will start at 11 a.m. with the men's 10k to follow at noon.
THE MEN'S SIDE
This will be the first race this season where the men run a 10k race. Participating at this year's regionals are Ryan Buzby, Thomas Flannery, Alex Hislop, Scott Loforte, William Marchant, Armani Merlino, Michael Neeson and Oscar Vazquez. The veteran group will look to secure a spot at the NCAA Championships that will be held in Tallahassee, Fla. this season.
THE WOMEN'S SIDE
Participating for the women are Meghana Caron, Alexia Hecico, Riley Jones and Anya Schmitt. As four of the stronger runners on the team, they'll look to improve their season top-times at the regionals. The women will participate individually as there are not enough members to qualify as a team.
