2008-09: Named Top Newcomer for the indoor and outdoor seasons. Earned All-East honors with her sixth-place finish in the shot put, a season-best 50-1.75, at the NCAA East Regionals. Finished fourth in the shot put (50-0.75) and 19th in the hammer (141-7) at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Placed eighth in the shot put (47-7.75) and 10th in the weight throw (55-2.75) at the MAC Indoor Championships.
High School: Won four letters at Grove City High School for coach Steve Rhiel. The Pennsylvania state champion in the shot put and discus. Also won the state discus title and was second in the shot put in 2007. Played post for the baksetball team.
Personal: Born February 24, 1990. Daughter of Ken and Linda Woods. Has one brother (Josh). Cousin of former UB punter Ben Woods. Favorite movie is Lord of the Rings. Favorite TV show is CSI. Has done missionary work in El Salvador. Major is undecided.
