
Thompson Named To United Soccer Coaches Goalkeepers to Watch List

BUFFALO, NY – Junior goalkeeper Lexie Thompson has been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Goalkeepers to Watch list, as announced by the organization on Friday morning.
Thompson is the only player from the Mid-American Conference on the 13 player list.
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2024 who are scheduled to return for the 2025 season.
The Levittown, NY is coming off a stellar sophomore campaign in which she became just the second Bull to earn MAC Goalkeeper of the Year honors, while also receiving All-MAC First Team and Third Team All-Region honors for the first time in her career. She recorded a 11-2-7 overall record, leading the MAC and ranking in the top 25 nationally in shutouts (11), goals against average (0.70) and save percentage (.841), while also recording 74 saves. Her 11 shutouts rank third in a single-season in program history. She also notched a career-best nine saves to lead UB to a 2-1 win at #7 Pittsburgh, the program's first win over a top 10 program.
Thompson and the Bulls open the 2025 season at crosstown rival Canisius on Thursday, August 14 at 6pm.
