Women’s Tennis Signs Sarah Hartel

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's tennis head coach Kristen Maines announced the signing of Sarah Hartel to the roster for the 2025-26 season.
Hartel, a native of Heidelberg, Germany, comes to Buffalo after one season at Missouri in which she appeared in 14 singles matches and eight doubles contests for the Tigers as a rookie. Before college, Hartel earned the third-place title of the U18 German National Championships while attending Heidelberg College for her high school career. She also joined forces with 2024 recruit Korina Roso in the 2022 Subotica Open, where the duo advanced to the competition's semifinals, claiming victories in the first two rounds of the tournament.
"We are very excited to have Sarah join our program and know she will fit in with our championship culture," said Maines. "We recruited her back in high school and are thrilled that she has found her way back to Buffalo!"
