
Bulls Post Personal Records and Rise UB Indoor Record Book at Boston University

BOSTON – The University at Buffalo track and field program competed at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday. Aidan Norris and Vincent Guaresimo headlined for the program, rising the UB indoor ranks.
Norris and Guaresimo posted personal best times in the men's mile amongst national competition. Norris' time of 4:07.62 rose to fourth in UB indoor history. The sophomore placed 18th of 68 runners. Guaresimo's time of 4:09.97 took the seventh spot in UB indoor history. The sophomore placed 30th in the event overall.
On the women's side of the mile, Allison Newton placed 23rd with a time of 5:05.40. Newton was just shy of her collegiate mile personal record (5:05.08) and just over five seconds shy of the program's indoor record book (5:00.24).
Juliette Salazar set a new personal best indoor 800-meter time of 2:14.72 to place sixth of 20 competitors. The junior was less than two seconds shy of reaching the UB indoor record book (2:12.84).
Vassi Klock was the Bulls' top finisher in the women's 3,000-meter, placing 62nd among the national field. Klock's time of 9:55.10 was just five seconds shy of reaching the UB indoor record book (9:50.26) and was the Bulls first 3,000-meter under 10 minutes on the women's team since the 2023-24 indoor season. Bronagh Cassidy (80th, 10:08.01) and Jacquie Appenheimer (87th, 10:16.90) also competed for the Bulls.
On the men's side, Collin Stafford was the team's top finisher with a time of 8:21.62, placing 56th. Noah Brightman also competed for the Bulls, placing 61st with a time of 8:37.68.
Cameron Bogdan made his indoor debut with the Bulls in the men's 5,000-meter, posting a time of 14:39.46 to place 167th. Bogdan was just over a second shy of reaching the UB indoor record book (14:38.45). Matt Gensel finished the event in 14:46.76 to finish 188th. Jacob Brink rounded out the Bulls competitors in the event, placing 196th with a time of 14:53.30.
