Volleyball Travels to the Sunshine State for FGCU Invitational

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team (7-2, 0-0 MAC) will travel to Fort Myers, Fla. for the Florida Gulf Coast (FGCU) Homewood Suites Invitational. The invite will take place on Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Alico Arena.
UB will face tough competition as every team participating has at least six wins on the young season. Participating at this year's invite includes the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers (6-6, 0-0 NEC), the FGCU Eagles (7-3, 0-0 A-Sun), and the Florida Atlantic (FAU) Owls (8-1, 0-0 C-USA).
The Bulls are fresh off their 3-0 WNY Invite title and ready for action in The Sunshine State. On Friday morning, the Bulls will face St. Francis Brooklyn at 11 a.m. Later that day, UB will play host FGCU at 7 p.m. This will be the only match streamed and can be found on the FGCU volleyball Facebook page. To close out UB's competition, they'll face FAU at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
This will mark UB's first meeting between the other participating programs at the invite.

With a 7-2 record, UB is off to their best start since the 2013 season when they started 12-0.
