
Bulls Score 4-3 Victory At Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team got back into the win column on Sunday afternoon as UB defeated Bowling Green, 4-3.
The Bulls got the all important doubles point, which ended up being the difference in the match as the two teams split the six singles contests.
All three doubles matches were won by identical scores of 6-4. Bowling Green won at first doubles, but Ambre Amat and Lolina Schietekat Sedas won at second doubles and Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou and Gabriella Akopyan won at third doubles, giving Buffalo the early 1-0 advantage.
A straight sets win from Azra Deniz Comlek at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-3, put the Bulls ahead 2-0 in the match before Bowling Green got on the board with wins at first and second singles, tying that match at 2-2.
Akopyan won 6-3, 7-5 at third singles to put UB back ahead and sophomore Mariana Carvajal Torres clinched the match at sixth singles, 7-6 (7), 6-4.
Buffalo returns home on Friday afternoon to host Western Michigan at 1pm.
