BUFFALO, NY – With just a few weeks remaining until the Mid-American Conference Tournament, the University at Buffalo women's tennis team sits in a tie for fourth place with their two opponents this week. UB will host Western Michigan on Friday afternoon and travel to Eastern Michigan on Sunday.
The Bulls split their action last week with a close loss at home to Toledo and then defeating Bowling Green 4-3 in Northwest Ohio last Sunday. UB is 13-6 on the year and 2-3 in league play.
Western Michigan is 10-8 on the year and also 2-3 in league play. The Broncos also split matches with Bowling Green and Toledo last week, defeating the Falcons, 6-1, in Kalamazoo.
Eastern Michigan enters its match at Northern Illinois on Friday with a 14-12 record and a 2-3 mark in league play. The Eagles defeated Dayton 5-2 on Sunday after they had a narrow 4-3 loss to Miami earlier in the day.
Due to weather, Friday's contest will take place at the Miller Tennis Center.
