
Women’s Soccer’s Marcy Barberic Signs With Iceland’s KR Reykjavik

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo women's soccer graduate student Marcy Barberic will continue her soccer career after concluding her decorated collegiate career in the fall of 2021, signing with Iceland's KR Reykjavik.
A five-year starter for the Bulls, Barberic played in 82 games during her time in Buffalo, while making 81 starts. The Grand Island, NY native cemented herself as one of the best players to ever where the blue and white as she finished her career ranked sixth in program history in career goals (33), assists (17) and total points (83).
As a senior, Barberic became the first player in school history to be named Second Team All-American, while also earning Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-MAC honors. She has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Team two times, most recently in her final year in which she recorded 10 goals and five assists in 16 games while extending her career PK record to a perfect 11-for-11. She led the MAC in goals per game (0.62), points per game (1.56), shots per game (3.94), shots on goal per game (1.94) and penalty kicks (1.000) while ranking second in total goals (10), total points (25) and game-winning goals (4).

Barberic will join the team in April. KR Reykjavik will play in the top division of women's soccer in Iceland in 2022. After winning their league in 2021, KR earned promotion for the 2022 season.
