Hilbert and Burke Sweep MAC Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday morning this week's track and field athletes of the week. The Bulls would sweep the men's awards as fifth-year senior William Hilbert earned MAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week and senior Brandon Burke earned MAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

William Hilbert smashed the UB school record in the 10,000-meter run as he finished second overall in at the 55^th Annual Colonial Relays at William & Mary. Hilbert's time of 29:35.71 leads the MAC and ranks 21^st in the NCAA East in the event.

Brandon Burke won the high jump in a season best height of 2.16-meters (7'-01.00") at the 55^th Annual Colonial Relays at William & Mary. Burke's height is first in the MAC and ninth in the NCAA East.

This is Burke's second MAC Athlete of the Week honor this academic year.

The Bulls will travel down Route 63 and 20 to compete at the SUNY Geneseo Big Tree Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
