
Bulls Conclude Road Swing at Central Michigan This Weekend

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo softball team wraps up a multi-week road swing in Mount Pleasant with a four-game series against the Central Michigan Chippewas at Margo Jonker Stadium this weekend.
The weekend will begin with a 3pm game on Friday followed by a doubleheader at 1pm/3pm on Saturday. The weekend will conclude with a 12pm game on Sunday.
The Bulls split a midweek doubleheader at Kent State on Tuesday. Junior Alexis Lucyshyn and senior Alicia Peters each hit solo home runs in a 2-1 game one win and Lucyshyn continued to heat up, drilling a two-run shot in game two. The Bulls have now hit 30 home runs on the year, just six shy of the Division I single-season program record set in 2016.
Buffalo is being led at the plate by Anna Aguon who owns a .302 batting average to go with a team-best 29 hits, five doubles, five home runs, 16 RBI and 16 runs scored, while also recording a .531 slugging percentage and .417 on base percentage. Alexis Matheney is batting .280 with 26 hits, three doubles, two home runs, 14 RBI and a team-best 17 runs scored while recording a .404 on base percentage and Lucyshyn is batting .278 with 27 hits, a team-best nine home runs and 24 RBI and 15 runs scored while recording a .567. Graduate student Ally Marcano leads UB in the circle with a 5-10 overall record, 6.78 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 79.2 innings of work. Lucyshyn owns a 2-6 overall record and has a 7.69 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 45.2 innings pitched.
Central Michigan enters the weekend with a 7-19 overall record and a 5-11 league mark after taking three of four games against Northern Illinois. The Chippewas are led offensively by Shaidan Knapp who is batting .356 with 26 hits, including six doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored while recording a .548 slugging and .478 on base percentage. Morgan Gardner is batting .348 with a 24 hits, a home run, seven RBI, 11 runs scored and a .365 on base percentage. Grace Lehto leads CMU in the circle, compiling a 17-13 overall record with a 6.23 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 73.0 innings of work.
