Toledo Scores Late Comeback Against Buffalo

TOLEDO, OH – The University at Buffalo volleyball team overcame an early two-set deficit, but the Bulls fell short, losing 3-2 at Toledo. The loss snapped Buffalo's two-match winning streak.
The Rockets took the contest 25-23, 25-22, 25-27, 25-23, 15-7 as Toledo narrowly outhit the Bulls .269 to .219.
Three Buffalo players reached double figures in kills led by senior Lexi Nordmann who had 17 kills and just three errors as she hit .438 for the night. Freshman Milla Malik added 16 kills and classmate Emma Gielas had 14 kills.
Junior Kyndal Bacon finished the night with 44 assists and 12 digs.
Defensively, sophomore Jenna Sonnenberg had 23 digs to lead all players. Junior Monika Simkova also finished in double figures in digs with 10.
The Bulls had 7.0 total blocks led by six from Nordmann, including a pair of solos.
Buffalo and Toledo are back in action tomorrow at 2pm on ESPN+.
