Bulls Drop 5-2 Decision At Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis dropped its Mid-American Conference opener on Friday at Bowling Green, 5-2. It was UB's first loss of the year.
The Falcons took all three matches in doubles to claim the early 1-0 lead and then won four of the six matches in singles.
Junior Hsin-Yuan Shih came away with a straight sets victory at fourth singles, 6-4, 6-4, while senior Gabriella Akopyan had the other win at second singles. She lost her first set 6-1, but then came back with a 7-6 win in set two and a 10-6 win in the third.
Buffalo returns to action tomorrow when they remain in northwest Ohio for a neutral site contest with Northern Illinois.
