
Bulls Return Home To Begin Three-Match Homestand

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo volleyball team returns to Western New York after playing their last four matches on the road with three straight at Alumni Arena. That begins with a pair of matches against Northern Illinois this weekend.
The Bulls will face the Huskies on Friday at 6pm and again on Saturday at 1pm. UB will then host a single match against Akron on Tuesday at 6pm. All three of those matches will air on ESPN+.
Buffalo has gone five sets in three of the last four matches, picking up its first win of the season at Eastern Michigan. The Bulls continue to be led offensively by a pair of freshmen in Emma Gielas and Milla Malik. Gielas has a team-high 141 kills, while Malik leads Buffalo in kills per set at 3.48. Senior Lexi Nordmann paces UB in hitting percentage at .331.
Defensively, sophomore Jenna Sonnenberg is coming of one of her best weekends as she had a career high 26 digs against Western Michigan and she leads the Bulls with 162. Junior setter Kyndal Bacon is second with 105 digs.
Northern Illinois is 6-8 on the season as the Huskies have split their last two weekends with Miami (OH) and Akron, respectively.
