D'Ann Keller is a senior athletics administrator with 28 years of experience in collegiate athletics, spanning campus, conference, and NCAA national office leadership. Keller joined the University at Buffalo in 2019 as Senior Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) and was promoted to Deputy Director of Athletics/SWA in 2024. She brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, sport administration, student-athlete well-being, facilities and capital planning, championship management, and organizational development.
At UB, Keller serves on the Athletics Executive Team, working closely with the Vice President and Director of Athletics on strategy, policy, personnel, and departmental operations. She manages the 16-sport administrator team and directly oversees women's basketball and women's soccer. As UB's SWA, she represents the University at Mid-American Conference and NCAA meetings and serves in conference and campus leadership roles.
Keller provides executive oversight of sports medicine, Olympic sports performance, and mental wellness services and created Bulls Thrive, UB Athletics' comprehensive umbrella integrating resources that support student-athlete health and well-being. She also launched the UB Refueling Station in 2022, expanding nutritional resources for student-athletes.
Her portfolio includes athletics events, facilities, and capital projects, with leadership for facility operations, renovations, major events, and long-term planning. Key projects include basketball locker room renovations and the Brittany Murchie Mulla Sports Performance Center. Keller also led facility branding and signage initiatives associated with the naming rights partnership with Broadview Federal Credit Union, including the transition to Broadview Arena and Broadview Stadium and related signage, wayfinding, and brand integration.
Keller's leadership extends across the University through service on various UB campus committees and collaboration with Equity, Diversity & Inclusion/Title IX, Student Conduct and Advocacy, University Police, Capital Planning, Facilities, Legal Counsel, Counseling Services, and Health Promotion.
She serves as a co-advisor to UB's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), working with student-athlete leaders to strengthen their voice, leadership, and community engagement. Keller also co-chairs the Stronger Together Task Force, advancing initiatives focused on belonging, education, leadership, service, and community engagement. This work has helped UB Athletics earn multiple MAC Institutional Diversity Awards. She has also participated in numerous head coach and administrative searches, including leading the search for UB's head women's basketball coach.
Prior to UB, Keller served as Associate Athletics Director at Saint Louis University, providing strategic leadership and sport oversight while directing marketing, promotions, game-day operations, facilities, and departmental branding initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Keller spent 11 years at the NCAA national office, ultimately serving as Associate Director of Championships & Alliances. She managed numerous NCAA championships across multiple sports, including the Division I Men's Soccer Championship and Men's College Cup, Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship, and National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championships, among others. Her responsibilities included championship operations, multimillion-dollar budgets, national committees, host relationships, and officiating programs. Keller was also instrumental in developing the NCAA's national soccer officiating assigning program.
Keller is a 2026 graduate of the NCAA Pathway Program, one of the NCAA's premier leadership development programs for senior athletics administrators preparing for the highest levels of leadership in intercollegiate athletics.
She holds a Master of Science in Higher Education from Butler University, a Master of Arts in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sport Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Ball State University.
Keller is most proud of her three adult children, Hayden, Gabby, and Garrett, and her three grandchildren, Olivia, Rowan, and Sage.
