Caleb Haynes is in his second season as wide receivers coach.
In 2024, the Bulls went 9-4 and defeated Liberty in the Bahamas Bowl.
Haynes played a key role in the development of wide receiver Victor Snow. The former walk-on led the Bulls in receiving in 2024 with 55 receptions for 651 yards and six touchdowns after having just one catch for 12 yards in 2023. Snow was an All-MAC Third Team selection.
15 of the Bulls' 19 touchdown receptions in 2024 were by wide receivers.
Haynes came to Buffalo from Stony Brook where he spent five seasons coaching multiple units, including most recently the wide receivers.
Haynes spent three seasons as wide receivers coach at Stony Brook. He also coached safeties and quarterbacks for the Seawolves.
In 2023, Seawolves receiver Anthony Johnson recorded 59 catches, the sixth most in program history for a single season, en route to earning All-CAA honors. In his first season with Stony Brook, he helped receiver Nick Anderson put together one of the best seasons in school history when the senior totaled 870 receiving yards, fifth most in program history.
Prior to Stony Brook, Haynes spent three seasons as an offensive graduate assistant at Rice. It was there that he worked with Lembo. He coached the Owls' receiving corps and assisted with the special teams.
Haynes began his coaching career as an assistant at Central Methodist, his alma mater. During his four seasons with the Eagles, he served as co-offensive coordinator, special teams coordinator, running backs coach, director of football operations and junior varsity head coach.
Haynes graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree from Central Methodist as well as master's degree from Rice.
