2009: Played in 100 sets for the Bulls with 186 digs on the season...had 15 digs and a service ace against Robert Morris (9/5)...recorded 14 digs in a five-set win against Western Michigan (10/17) and added 12 digs against Cornell (9/19) and Northern Illinois (10/16)...had nine service aces on the season in nine different matches...UB Scholar Athlete.
2008: Played in 94 sets for the Bulls and recorded 128 digs on the year...had a career-high 10 digs against Bowling Green (11/18)...added eight digs against Niagara (9/16), Ohio (10/31) and Kent State (11/1)...recorded four services aces on the season and had her first career kills against Kent State (9/26)...recorded a career-high four assists against Ohio (10/31).
High School: Earned three letters and captained one season for Daniel Berkheimer at Westlake High School...holds the school record for most digs in a single game and a match...was named All-Conference and All-District First Team in 2007 and to the West Sun Northwest All-Star Team...was named the Westlake Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007...named All-Conference and All-District Honorable Mention in 2006.
Personal: Born January 29, 1990...daughter of Thomas and Debby...full name is Heather Nicole Pyle...has one brother (Jason) and one sister (Cassie)...favorite athlete is Misty May-Treanor...favorite movie is Anchorman...chose Buffalo because it isn’t too far from home, has a good volleyball program and the nursing school...would like to set the UB school record for digs in a match...lists greatest athletic experience as finishing fifth in Gold at Nationals.
