2014: Saw action in 113 sets as a defensive specialist for the Bulls during her freshman season...recorded 38 digs, including six digs in her first match vs. Lehigh (8/29)...had five digs at Toledo (11/15) and four digs against Ole Miss (8/31) and Florida International (9/6)...finsihed with 18 service aces, including three against South Carolina State (9/6).
High School: Player four seasons and captained two for head coach Dave Hosenfeld at Fairport High School...selected to the Monroe County All-League First Team in 2012 as well as an All-Greater Rochester honoree...played her club volleyball for Rob Werkmeister and former UB setter Lindsey Schlegel at VolleyFX.
Personal: Born March 18, 1996...daughter of Bob and Catherine Ooyama...has two sisters (Gabrielle and Lydia)...lists her career goals as becoming a biomedical engineer...favorite musicians are One Republic, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw...chose UB because of the engineering program and the atmosphere of the university...has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity...chose her uniform number because it was her lucky number growing up.
