2012-13: Earned the team''s Most Improved Award. Set the school record in the 200-yard butterfly finals at the MAC Championships, winning the consolation heat (to place ninth overall) in 2:02.16. She also posted an eighth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly championship final with a 56.10 clocking. Ragen set a season-best time of 54.98 in the preliminary heat earlier in the day. She also placed 21st overall in the 50-yard freestyle setting a season-best time of 24.01.
2011-12: Earned consolation points with her 15th-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:06.25) at the MAC Championships. Also placed 24th in the 50 freestyle (season-best 23.93) and 25th in the 100 butterfly (season-best 57.18) at the league meet.
Previous College: Attended Penn State-Behrend. Team’s Rookie of the Year setting school records in 50 and 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly and four relays. Also earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year honors.
High School: Won four letters and captained one season at Iroquois High School for coach Bob North. Finished ninth in the 100 butterfly and 16th in the 100 freestyle at the Pennsylvania State Championships. Won district 100 butterfly title three consecutive seasons. Set school records in five events. Also played four years of volleyball for the Braves. Also a member of the Erie Aquatics club program for coach Joe Tristin.
Personal: Born December 17, 1991. Daughter of Richard and Roberta Ragen. Has two sisters (Sarah, Joanna). Enjoys arts and crafts. Favorite movie is Under the Tuscan Sun. Historical figure she’d most like to meet is artist Edouard Manet. Majoring in art history and would like a career in art restoration.
