2016: Made 26 appearances, and started 20 games in the circle...led the team with a 3.56 ERA, throwing 114.0 innings...struck out six batters in six innings in her first start of the year against Quinnipiac (2/26)...threw a six-hit complete game shutout in a win over Toledo (3/26) and threw a three-hit complete game shutout at Ball State (4/8)...pitched a career-best 10.0 innings, while striking out six against Ohio (4/29).
2015: Made 30 appearances in the circle, including 15 starts...pitched 100.1 innings on the year, picking up her first win of the year against Alabama State (2/6)...had a stretch of 10.1 innings in relief between 3/29 and 4/3 where she allowed just two earned runs...pitched 7.0 innings, while allowing just one run on three hits against Akron (4/11)...three 7.0 innings of one-run ball against Bowling Green (4/26).
High School: Earned four letters and captained two seasons for head coaches Joe Catalano and Matt Chimera at Kenmore West High School…batted .425 during her senior year, while also finishing with a 1.90 ERA in the circle…set high school records for most doubles, most RBI’s, while allowing the fewest hits in a season and throwing a no hitter…was named first-team All-Western New York and first-team All-League in 2014…was also a member of her high school swimming and basketball teams…played her club softball for Amherst Lightning.
Personal: Full name is Charlotte Jane Miller…born on August 8, 1996…daughter of Doug and Jamie Miller…has one brother (Curtis) and one sister (Jillian Murphy)…favorite athlete is Keilani Ricketts…chose UB because of the academics and athletics and because it was close to her family…her grandfather played quarterback for one of the first Buffalo Bills’ teams…would like to set UB records for home runs at the plate and strikeouts in the circle..chose her jersey number because it has been her number since tee ball.
