
Bulls Picked Second in MAC Preseason Poll

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo women's soccer team was picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference preseason coaches poll, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulls earned 128 points overall, including four first place votes, while also receiving four votes to win the MAC Tournament championship.
The defending MAC champion Western Michigan Broncos were picked atop the poll as they earned 135 points and eight first place tallies. The Ohio Bobcats ranked third with 123 points, newest MAC member UMass followed with 114 points and one first place vote and Bowling Green rounded out the top five with 93 points.
Buffalo returns 17 players, including eight starters, from last season and welcome 10 freshmen and one transfer to a team that went 11-2-7 and advanced to the MAC Tournament championship game for the second time in two years.
The Bulls open the 2025 season at crosstown rival Canisius on Thursday, August 14 at 6pm.
