BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's basketball head coach Kristen Sharkey has announced the addition of Ally Carman to the roster for the 2025-26 season. She will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Carman, a 6'5" center, comes to Buffalo from Iona University where she appeared 25 games for the Gaels. Carman started her collegiate career at Boston College University where she played in 13 games as a rookie.
Before college, Carman was a four-year letter winner and 1,000-point scorer at Red Bank Catholic High School where she earned North Shore Conference All-Third team, All-Shore Second team and Division A - Central Second team honors a senior. She was a Top 100 and four-star recruit according to ESPN and the 19th-ranked player at her position, while also ranked 113th according to Blue Star Basketball. She also played AAU ball for NJ Shoreshots and Philly Rise.
"Ally brings a post presence that I am extremely excited about," said Sharkey. "Being a post player myself, I can't wait to work with her and have this last year be the most special of her career so far! She comes from an amazing family who understands hard work and sacrifice. Ally will be our enforcer down low and give us the ability to establish an inside game at 6'5 that many of our opponents won't be able to contain."
