Women’s Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule
6/23/2026 3:53:00 PM | Women's Basketball
BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's basketball head coach Kristen Sharkey announced the Bulls' non-conference schedule on Tuesday.
The schedule, which features three teams that played in the postseason a year ago, is highlighted by a home game against SEC member Mississippi State at Broadview Arena, a Thanksgiving trip to Florida and a pair of Big 4 games.
"This schedule gives us an opportunity to represent Buffalo every time we step on the floor," said Sharkey. "We will be challenged by a variety of talented opponents, different styles of play and environments that will require us to bring our best every single day."
"Our focus is not just on wins and losses, it's on becoming the best version of ourselves, building habits that last and learning how to compete together at a championship level. Every game is another chance to grow, strengthen our identity and prepare ourselves for the demands of MAC pay. We're excited to compete for our community, wear Buffalo across our chest and make our fans proud of the way we represent this University."
Fans will get their first look at the 2026-27 Bulls on Wednesday, October 28 with an exhibition contest against D'Youville. Buffalo will then remain home for the regular season opener as they will host a to-be-determined opponent from the Sun Belt Conference on Monday, November 2 in the first game of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
The Bulls will then travel to Youngstown State on Saturday, November 7 before returning home to host Sacramento State on Thursday, November 12.
UB welcomes Mississippi State to Broadview Arena for a marquee matinee on Saturday, November 14 before closing out the homestand with a Big 4 battle against St. Bonaventure on Thursday, November 19.
Buffalo will then travel to the Bronx for a clash with the Fordham Rams on Sunday, November 22 before heading to the Sunshine State for a pair of games, beginning on Friday, November 27 where they will take on Morehead State before facing off against the hosts, Florida Atlantic, on Saturday, November, 28.
The Bulls will open the month of December at crosstown rival Canisius on Wednesday, December 2 before returning home to host Duquesne on Sunday, December 6.
Buffalo will then head on the road for a pair of games beginning on Thursday, December 10 at Detroit Mercy before traveling to Philadelphia for a clash with the Drexel Dragons on Monday, December 21.
After the holiday break, the Bulls will welcome the Cornell Big Red to Broadview Arena on Tuesday, December 29 in the final game before Mid-American Conference play begins on January 3.
UB will then have one more non-conference game on Saturday, February 6 as they will travel to a to-be-determined opponent in game two of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
The MAC portion of the Bulls' schedule, as well as season ticket information, will be released at a later date.
