Bulls Wrap Up Season at Akron on Friday

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will play their final game of the 2024-25 slate on Friday evening at Akton. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. Josh Whetzel can be heard on the Varsity Network App or on Buffalo 1520/Rochester 1280.
LAST TIME OUT
In their final home game of the season, the Bulls fell to the visiting Miami RedHawks, 84-69 on Tuesday evening. Buffalo had four players score in double figures in Tyson Dunn (16), Anquan Boldin Jr. (13), Bryson Wilson (11) and Ben Michaels (10). Dunn led the Bulls in assists (8) and steals (3) as Noah Batchelor grabbed 10 rebounds and Michaels recorded a pair of blocks.
ABOUT THE SERIES
This will be the 77th all-time meeting between the Bulls and Zips. Akron leads the all-time series, 42-34. In conference play, the Zips hold a 26-21 lead. Buffalo Head Coach George Halcovage III is 0-3 against Akron as Head Coach John Groce is 14-12 against the Bulls including his stint at Ohio.
The Bulls fell to the Zips on Tuesday, Jan. 21st by score of 90-58. Ryan Sabol led the Bulls with 15 points as he buried a game-high 5 three-pointers. Noah Batchelor led the Bulls with 5 boards and 2 steals as he tallied 8 points. Tyson Dunn had a game-high 5 assists. On the defensive end, both Frederiks Meinarts and Ben Michaels had 2 blocks. In limited game action, Brayden Jackson and Sam Akot both recorded 2 steals.
