
Three Bulls Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

INDIANAPOLIS – The University at Buffalo men's basketball team was represented by three student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, as announced by the organization.
Senior Tyson Dunn, junior Noah Batchelor and sophomore Ryan Sabol were named to this year's Academic All-District team. This is the first time in their careers that they've earned this honor.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
The 2025 Academic All-District Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Tyson Dunn, Senior, Guard, Management M.S.
Dunn was one of two Bulls to start every game on the season. He averaged 29.4 mpg, 12.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg and a team leading 5.3 apg. His 165 assists were the seventh most in a single season in program history and 34th nationally at the end of the regular season. Dunn was named MAC Player of the Week on Nov. 11th after recording a double-double in the season opener at Old Dominion (11/4) with 24 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds. He followed up that performance with the program's fourth triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists against Fredonia (11/8). To go with his MAC Player of the Week honor, Dunn took home U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) National Player of the Week honors on Nov. 12th. Dunn scored in double figures 19 times including scoring 20+ points seven times. He scored a career-high 26 points against Toledo (3/1). Dunn's 14 assists against Fredonia (11/8) are tied for the fifth most in program history in a single game. On the defensive end, he recorded a career-high 7 steals against Pitt-Bradford (12/3), good for the fifth most in a single game in program history. He splashed home a career-high 6 three-pointers against Western Michigan (1/18) and Toledo (3/1).
Noah Batchelor, Junior, Guard/Forward, Communication
In his first season at Buffalo, Batchelor played in 30 games with 28 starts. While averaging 29.4 minutes per game he totaled 204 points for 6.8 ppg. The team leader in rebounds finished with 182, good for 6.1 rpg and was one of eight MAC players to record 10+ rebounds at least three times in MAC play. Batchelor added 39 assists, 9 blocks and 25 steals. He scored a career-high 16 points twice at Vermont (11/19) and at Northern Illinois (2/11). In Buffalo's 85-76 win at Western Michigan on Jan. 18th, Batchelor snatched a career-high 12 boards. He scored a career-high 3 three-pointers 5 times at Old Dominion (11/4), at Temple (12/29), at Bowling Green (1/14), at Toledo (2/4) and at Northern Illinois (2/11). Batchelor recorded his first career double-doubles against Vermont (11/19) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He then recorded a double-double at Western Michigan (1/18) with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Ryan Sabol, Sophomore, Guard, Business Administration
The sophomore guard played in all 31 games with 30 starts. Sabol averaged 33.3 mpg with a team leading 14.4 ppg to go with his 2.9 rpg and 2.0 apg. On the season, he scored 20+ points 6 times including a career-high 28 points against Fredonia (11/8). He also scored 20+ points against Vermont (11/19), North Carolina A&T (11/25), Miami (OH) (1/4), Eastern Michigan (1/25) and Central Michigan (1/28). Sabol buried 7 three-pointers against Fredonia (11/8) tying his career high and 10th in program history for made threes in a single game. At Georgia (12/19), Sabol became the fastest Bull in program history to make 100 three-pointers in a career in just 42 games. In his career, Sabol has made 141 career three-pointers which is eighth in program history. His 79 made threes on the year are the 10th most made in a single season in program history.
