Bulls Travel to South Carolina for Wofford Invitational

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (1-8, 0-0 MAC) will participate in the Wofford Invitational this weekend in Spartanburg, S.C. The Bulls will face the North Dakota Fighting Hawks, Tennessee State Tigers and the host Wofford Terriers.
The Bulls' schedule this weekend will be as followed:
Last weekend the Bulls participated at the 22nd Annual Georgia Classic in Athens, Ga. On the season, freshman Emily Gorman leads the Bulls with a .385 batting average with a team-high 10 hits. Lily Lauck has a team-best .556 on base percentage with 7 hits, 7 walks and a hit by pitch. Lauck also has a team leading 7 RBIs. Abbey Nagel leads the team with 5 doubles and 5 runs scored.
GAMES 1 AND 4
Buffalo vs. North Dakota
SERIES: This will be the first ever meeting between the Bulls and Fighting Hawks.
GAME 2
Buffalo at Wofford
SERIES: Wofford leads, 2-0.
NOTES: The Bulls and Terriers first met last year at the Low Country Classic hosted by Charleston. In the first game, the Terriers squeaked out a 1-0 win in an 8 inning pitchers' duel. Wofford then beat Buffalo, 7-3, the following day.
GAME 3 AND 5
Buffalo vs. Tennessee State
SERIES: Buffalo leads, 1-0.
NOTES: The Bulls defeated the Tigers, 7-1, at the Southeastern Louisiana tournament on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016.
