Bulls Wrapped Up Non-Conference Play at No. 16 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team (4-9, 0-0 MAC) fell on the road to the No. 16 Florida Gators, 3-0 (15-25, 9-25, 16-25).

The Gators were too much to handle for the Bulls. Buffalo was outhit, .442 to .080, while Florida finished with 60.5 points to Buffalo's 27.0.

The young bloods on the roster in Manoela Forlin and Luli Arcucci led the team in kills with nine and seven, respectively.

In the first set, the Bulls held a 2-1 lead before the Gators went on a 4-0 run. Tied at 9, Florida used a 6-0 run to make it a 15-9 game. Florida won the first set, 25-15.

Defensive miscues hurt the Bulls in the second set. Florida went on a 14-0 run to take a commanding lead in the set. The Gators took It, 25-9.

The third set was a battle for both squads. With Florida in front, 9-8, they padded their lead with a 4-0 run to make it 13-8. Battling until the end, the Bulls fell, 25-16.

The Bulls will turn their attention to conference play on Friday at Western Michigan. The matchup with feature last season's top-2 teams in the MAC tournament.
