
Bulls Fall to the Mean Green

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University at Buffalo women's volleyball team (4-8, 0-0 MAC) fell to the North Texas Mean Green (3-8, 0-0 AAC) on Saturday evening.
North Texas brought their defense as it caused the Bulls' offense to stall. They limited the Bulls to a -.010 getting percentage on the night. The Mean Green hit .262 and totaled 53 points to Buffalo's 28.
Abby Leigh and Luli Arcucci led the Bulls with seven kills each.
North Texas got on the board early and often to start the match. After taking a 7-1 lead, they extended it to 15-5 at the media timeout. Out of the timeout, both squads traded points, but the Mean Green's healthy lead gave them the set, 25-14.
The Bulls started the second set with a 4-0 lead which became a 7-1 lead after a block by A. Leigh and Arcucci. The Mean Green turned the set by forcing Buffalo errors. North Texas won the second set, 25-21.
It was all Mean Green in the third set as they outhit the Bulls, .379 to -.074. North Texas won the match in the third, 25-9.
The Bulls will close out non-conference play tomorrow at 3 p.m. against the Florida Gators (8-2, 0-0 SEC). The match is the featured game of the day on the SEC Network.
