Volleyball Announces Game Themes for the 2024 Season

BUFFALO, N.Y. – UB Athletics has released its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2024 volleyball season. The Bulls will have unique themes for 10 of their 13 home matches this year.
Friday, Aug. 30 vs. Oakland – Buffalo Invite Presented by UB Dental
Season Opener/2023 MAC East Champions Banner – Visit the UB Dental Mobile Dental Unit prior to the game for your free oral cancer screening. Toothbrushes will be given away throughout the entire Invite. The first 150 fans will receive commemorative 2023 MAC East Division Champion banners presented by UB Dental. The Bulls won their first division title last season with a 13-5 conference record which earned them the two-seed in the MAC Tournament.
Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. Hampton – Buffalo Invite Presented by UB Dental
Camper Appreciation – Fans will receive free posters of the UB volleyball team with a post game autograph session. Attendees will also have the chance to meet Victor E. Bull!
Sunday, Sept. 1 vs. Army West Point – Buffalo Invite Presented by UB Dental
Military Appreciation – Show your military appreciation as the Bulls battle the Army West Point Black Knights.
Wednesday, Sept. 18 vs. Niagara
Horns Up for a Cause/Sepsis Awareness/One4Mon – The team will wear black and red ribbons in support of Sepsis Awareness and former Bull, Monika Simkova, '22. In the summer of 2021, Monika, a senior outside hitter on the volleyball team, battled a rare infection which caused doctors to amputate both of her legs.
Friday, Oct. 4 vs. Kent State
Return of #MACtion – The first 100 fans will receive mac and cheese as #MACtion returns to Alumni Arena.
Saturday, Oct. 5 vs. Kent State
H3H Mental Health and Wellness – Fans will receive a stress ball for this year's Mental Health and Wellness Stress Free theme.
Friday, Oct. 18 vs. Toledo
Pride/Spirit Night – The team will wear ribbons in addition to various in arena elements with a focus on celebrating love.
Tuesday, Oct. 22 vs. Akron
Block Out Cancer/Pink Game – Come support the Bulls and those who battled cancer with our inaugural Block Out Cancer game.
Saturday, Nov. 2 vs. Northern Illinois
International Students Game – Check out international student performances and support the international student-athletes with miniature country flags.
Saturday, Nov. 16 vs. Eastern Michigan
Senior Day/Fan Appreciation – In the final regular season match of the 2024 campaign, volleyball's senior class will be honored in their last match in Alumni Arena. Fans can enjoy bounce houses, balloon artists and other various giveaways throughout the evening.
Throughout the season, fans can enjoy free parking and chances to win t-shirts and other various prizes!
