Bulls Host Kent State for Tuesday Doubleheader

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (12-23, 4-10 MAC) will host the Kent State Golden Flashes (19-17, 5-9 MAC) at Nan Harvey Field for a doubleheader tomorrow, Tuesday 16th. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Bulls are 15-36 (.294) all-time against the Golden Flashes. Despite the series history, UB is 7-3 in their last 10 games against Kent State.
Seven of Buffalo's next ten games will be home as the season comes to a close.
Buffalo enters the weekend with an 12-23 record and are 4-10 in MAC play. Over the weekend the Bulls were swept by the Central Michigan Chippewas. The Bulls are being led offensively by Mia Mitchell, who is batting .284. Madison Fernimen leads the team with 31 hits and 22 runs scored as Abbey Nagel and Alexis Lucyshyn have 29 hits apiece. On the basepaths, Mitchell is 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts this season. As a team, UB is 28-29 on stolen base attempts.
In the circle, Lucyshyn is 8-9 with a 2.85 ERA as she has struck out 121 batters in 105.2 innings pitched.
