Bulls Fall to the RedHawks

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (11-16, 3-3 MAC) fell to the top-seeded Miami (OH) RedHawks (24-6, 7-0 MAC) on Friday afternoon, 10-1.
The RedHawks entered the game as one of the best teams in the country at hitting the long ball. It didn't take long for Miami to prove they're one of the most explosive teams in the country as they hit a solo home run off the first pitch of the game. The cleanup hitter made it a 2-0 game as they went yard to right field.
Miami padded their lead in the second inning as they scored four runs to make it 6-0. The RedHawks hit their third home run of the game in the third inning with a grand slam to center field to lead 10-0.
Lily Lauck hit he own homer of the game in the bottom of third inning to give the Bulls their eventual only run of the game. Alyssa Wasielewski was the only other Bull to get a hit in the game.
The Bulls and RedHawks will continue their series tomorrow with a doubleheader at 1 p.m.
