Bulls Host Top-Seeded Miami (OH) for Weekend Series

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball team (11-15, 3-2 MAC) will host the top-seeded Miami (OH) RedHawks (23-6, 6-0 MAC) for a three-game series beginning Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. The series will continue with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Nan Harvey Field.
The Bulls are 14-41 (.255) all-time against the RedHawks. Miami (OH) has won the last 14 games against the Bulls.
Buffalo enters the weekend with a 11-15 record and are 3-2 in MAC play. UB will look to break their three-game losing streak as they lost to the Niagara Purple Eagles in Tuesday's doubleheader. The Bulls are being led offensively by fifth year Alexis Lucyshyn, who is batting .313 with 25 hits. She's also added a team-high 17 RBIs. Abbey Nagel and Madison Fernimen also have 25 hits each. Fernimen has 14 RBIs for the Bulls. On the basepaths, Mia Mitchell is 8-for-8 on stolen base attempts this season and leads the team with a .385 on base percentage. As a team, UB is 23-for-24 on stolen base attempts.
