
Mid-American Conference Announces 2024 Volleyball Conference Slate

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The University at Buffalo in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference announced the 2024 conference schedule on Wednesday morning. In total, each MAC program will play 18 conference matches.
The Bulls will start conference play on the road against the defending MAC Champion Western Michigan Broncos on Sept. 27-28. Last season, the Broncos went 31-3 overall including going undefeated in MAC play at 18-0. In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Western Michigan defeated No. 7 Auburn in straight sets. The Broncos then fell to No. 2 Louisville in the Second Round.
The Bulls will host their first conference game against the Kent State Golden Flashes on Oct. 4-5. The Bulls swept the season series against the Golden Flashes last season on the road. UB will be back on the road for Tuesday night#MACtion on Oct. 8 at the Akron Zips. The Bulls swept the Zips in straight set victories a season ago.
UB will stay on the road from Oct. 11-12 as they'll battle the Miami (OH) RedHawks and the Ball State Cardinals. The Bulls have beaten the RedHawks in six straight matches. The Ball State Cardinals were the No. 3-seed in the MAC Tournament last season. They lost to the Bowling Green Falcons in the semifinals.
After the road trip, the Bulls will be back at Alumni Arena for a three-game homestand. They'll battle the Bowling Green Falcons and Toledo Rockets on Oct. 17-18. The Falcons have taken the last 11 matches from the Bulls including the MAC Semifinal last season. The Bulls and Rockets split last season's series in Toledo. The Akron Zips will make their way to Western New York on Oct. 22.
Buffalo will make their way to Mount Pleasant, Mich. to face the Central Michigan Chippewas on Oct. 25-26. The Bulls won the lone match against the Chippewas last October. UB will host the Northern Illinois Huskies to open the month of November on the 1st and 2nd.
For the final road trip of the regular season, the Bulls will travel to Athens, Ohio for a clash against the Ohio Bobcats on Nov. 8-9. Buffalo will close out the regular season on Nov. 15-16 against the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Buffalo has won their last three matches against the Eagles.
