CLEVELAND, OHIO – The Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday that Zahra Amos is the Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the first time the junior has earned the honor in her collegiate career.
At the SPIRE Collegiate Indoor Games on Saturday, Amos set a new school record in the women's high jump with a mark of 1.80m. The junior also won the event for the Bulls, marking the third time this season Amos has won the women's high jump at a meet.
Amos is the second women's field athlete to earn the honor this season for Buffalo, following Scilla Benussi winning the award just two weeks ago.
The Bulls will compete next weekend at Cornell University on Saturday, February 17th, the team's last meet before the MAC Indoor Championships on February 23rd and 24th.
