
Abby Leigh Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their weekly volleyball honors on Monday afternoon. Sixth-year middle blocker Abby Leigh took home MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Abby Leigh helped the Bulls to a 2-0 week with wins over the Northern Illinois Huskies. The sixth-year middle blocker was very efficient on the attack as she hit .490 on the week with 28 kills and 3 errors on 51 attempts. She recorded her 17th career error-free match on Friday with 10 kills on 20 attempts. She averaged 4.00 kills per set on the week. In the MAC, she was the only player on the week to finish top-five in both hitting percentage and kills per set, fourth in both categories. She also added seven blocks against the Huskies, good for 1.00 blocks per set. In total she had 32.0 points, resulting in 4.57 points per set.
With her honor, she joins Katrin Trebichavska (9/3) and Mandy Leigh (9/30) with MAC Player of the Week honors this season.
The Bulls are back in action on Friday and Saturday when the team travels to Athens, Ohio to take on the Ohio Bobcats (11-13, 7-6 MAC).
