Benussi Named MAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, OHIO – The Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday that Scilla Benussi is the Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the first time the senior has earned the honor.
Benussi took first place in the women's pentathlon at Kent State's Doug Raymond National Qualifier with 3,936 points, a new personal record, ranking second in UB indoor history. The senior set three personal best marks en route to her finish including 8.92 in the 60 meter hurdles, 1.67 in the high jump and 12.57 in the shot put. Benussi's long jump and 800m were both indoor personal best marks.
Benussi and the Bulls are back in action this weekend at the Akron Invitational on Friday, February 2nd, with the action beginning at 4pm.
