Bulls Fall to Ball State on Sunday Afternoon

Timely hitting was a factor as the Cardinals racked up 14 hits on the afternoon as the Bulls didn't record a hit.
Ball State scored in the bottom of the first inning off a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead. The fifth inning was not friendly to the Bulls as they surrendered five runs, taking a commanding 6-0 lead.
With the bases loaded in the sixth inning, Abbey Nagel grounded out, but was good enough for a run to score. Alexis Lucyshyn then smoked a groundball at the third baseman allowing Julia Tarantino and Mykaela Martin to score. The Bulls trailed 6-3 headed to the bottom half of the inning.
The Cardinals closed out the game scoring five more runs to eventually take an 11-3 mercy victory over the Bulls.
The Bulls will host the Central Michigan Chippewas on Friday, April 21 at 3 p.m. for a three-game series at Nan Harvey Field.
