BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's basketball team (7-5, 2-1 MAC) looks to extend their win streak to three games as they welcome Eastern Michigan to Alumni Arena on Saturday. The Bulls are looking to start 3-1 in conference play for the third straight season.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Paul Peck (play-by-play) and Matt Mattia (color) announcing and can be heard on the radio on ESPN 1520AM or on the Varsity Network with Jack Kreuzer on the call.
This is the 31st overall meeting between Buffalo and Eastern Michigan with the series knotted at 15 games apiece. The Bulls swept the two-game series a season ago, most recently an 93-68 win at Alumni Arena on February 9, 2022. The Eagles are 0-7 against UB in the Fred Castro era.
UB outscored Ohio 19-8 in the fourth quarter to complete a second half comeback for a big 69-64 road win over the Bobcats at the Convocation Center on Wednesday night. The Bulls were led by the backcourt duo of Re'Shawna Stone and Jazmine Young, the former who scored a game-high 23 points to go with four rebounds and four assists, while the latter tied her UB career-high with 20 points.
Stone leads the team in scoring (14.2 ppg) and assists (3.9 apg) while adding 5.2 rebounds per contest and has scored in double figures in eight straight games.
