Bulls To Open Regular Season Against Georgia State in MAC SBC-Challenge

BUFFALO, NY - The Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Sun Belt Conference (SBC) announced the initial matchups for the 2026 MAC-SBC Challenge on Thursday afternoon. The Bulls will host Georgia State in the regular season opener at Broadview Arena on Monday, November 2 at 6pm.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Georgia State finished the 2025-26 season with a 10-21 overall record and 5-13 league mark. The Bulldogs will be led by first-year head coach Marcilina Grayer who was hired in April after serving as the head coach at Salt Lake Community College where she led the Bruins to multiple regional titles and a NJCAA Final Four appearance.
The second MAC-SBC Challenge contest for each team will take place on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027, with the matchups based on real-time NET rankings and announced on January 12. The Sun Belt women will host the February matchups.
Scheduling assistance is provided by Ordinal Sports Group. In addition to relevant NET data and Ordinal's predictive model, coach feedback, previously contracted games, travel and overall competitive balance are considered in determining the matchups.
Each MAC-SBC Challenge game will be carried on an ESPN platform.ย ย
